Major TV show for Skegness woman

A Skegness woman says she is thrilled to be part of a new ITV show which features holidaying revellers abroad in a Spanish resort.
Jaime-Leigh, 22, a dancer and promoter, stars in the six part documentary, The Magluf Weekender, which follows the exploits of 18-24-year-olds having the time of their lives in Magaluf, Mallorca.
Each week the show will follow two different groups of holidaying fun-seekers as they head out to the resort to party away a long weekend of their lives.
On hand to ensure the guests have the trip of a lifetime are the four star holiday reps – Jamie-Leigh, Imogen, Brett and Jordan.
Jamie-Leigh, who now lives in London, said of her first television appearance: “I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the show. I had been working in entertainment for years and have travelled to many resorts around the world.”
But despite living in Skegness until the age of 15, Jamie-Leigh says she found it hard to get used to the packed and full-on lifestyle in Magaluf.
“I’ve been on 18-30s holidays before but living and working it was very different, it was about getting the guests wrecked all the time and the viewers are going to be in for some shocking scenes, such as people throwing up in the street, having intercourse; it’s really in your face.”
Jamie-Leigh, a former Skegness Grammar School student, is currently on a gap year from studying event management and Spanish at Hertfordshire University and enjoys working in London but says Skegness will always be in her heart as her true home.
“I really enjoy coming back to Skegness and my family have been really proud of the show even though there’s some tough times to come in the series. It’s been well received so far, but I don’t think I’m portrayed that nicely in the show, I had just come out of a three year relationship before flying out,” she said.
The show is running on ITV2 on Sundays at 9pm.
