Lincolnshire National Gardens Scheme events raised well over £42,000 in 2012
The Lincolnshire National Gardens Scheme has moved to thank all those who helped raise money for charity at its events over the past year.
It issued its thanks after revealing that well over £42,000 was raised for good causes in 2012.
A number of the events were held locally.
“On behalf of all of us at Lincolnshire National Gardens Scheme, can I thank you for all your help in promoting our gardens last summer,” said the scheme’s Erica McGarrigle.
“We raised well over £42,000, a wonderful result considering the wet weather, particularly in June, the month when the majority of gardens are looking at their very best.
“The beneficiaries from money raised by the National Gardens Scheme are Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Help the Hospices, Perennial, Cross Roads Care, The Queen’s Nursing Institute, and The National Trust.”
