National Mills Weekend, co-ordinated by The Mills Section of SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings), will take place across the UK on Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11, with more than 300 windmills and watermills opening their doors to the public.
This annual festival of our milling heritage is the chance for everyone to explore their local mills.
Participating mills include many not normally open to the public, with a range of special events and family-friendly activities. Details of all mills open during National Mills Weekend can be found on the website: www.nationalmillsweekend.co.uk
This year the SPAB Mills Section is celebrating ‘Mills in Art’ - calling on budding artists of all ages to get inspired by mills.
