This quirky shot of a very ‘bubbly’ Jolly Fisherman has been sent in by Louise Clapham of Northamptonshire.
Louise and her family spent some time in Skegness when visiting close family in Spilsby over the bank holiday weekend to find Skegness’s Jolly Fisherman all in a lather.
Skegness’s famous mascot was all at sea yesterday, among a frothy white mass of bubbles following a prankster’s efforts.
The photo was taken around half past seven on Bank Holiday Monday (May 26).
The famous Jolly Fisherman certainly put a smile on the faces of visitors to Skegness for the day.
Louise’s daughters, 13-year-old Keeley, 3-year-old Scarlett and 8-year-old Kelila May obviously took a care-free approach to the foamy spume, but Louise did however spare a thought for the local council workers who will have to clear up the area afterwards, posting from her facebook account: “ELDCs got a cleaning job to do since some one had fun with the bubble bath.”
