Burgh Village Hall has re-opened following refurbishment which has included painting and decorating, a new floor, a renovated stage and new blinds and curtains.
The outside has been blocked paved and wrought iron railings and seats have been installed, the flat roof has been repaired and new soffit’s installed.
At the reopening, in his welcome address chairman of the hall committee John Atkinson thanked the funders WREN, Lincolnshire County Council, East Lindsey District Council and also Couns Chris Pain Neil Cooper.
Mr Atkinson explained the project started three years ago with a donation from Skegness Round Table and the Burgh Luncheon Club for a new commercial cooker and dishwasher.
The second phase included a new heating system with a grant from ELDC and the Skegness Masons of Lumley Lodge.
Mr Atkinson thanked all those who had worked on the project, many of whom had donated items to the refurbishment.
The final stage will be the car park and several fundraising events are being planned, the first being a chine supper and entertainment on May 24.
