Friskney WI members celebrated the group’s 95th birthday this December by holding a party at Friskney Village Hall.

Each local WI sent two representatives to join in the celebrations.

Entertainment was provided by an award-winning duo, The Cover Girls, who sang songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s, as well as a medley of Christmas songs.

They finished with their version of ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen’, which had WI members up dancing.

A toast was raised by Anne Donaldson, a member of the WI Board of Trustees, and everyone enjoyed a buffet and a piece of celebration birthday cake, baked and iced by WI members, Maureen Holmes and Jenny Terry.

Friskney WI meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm and visitors are made very welcome.
