An innovative and free training programme is being offered in Skegness for people who are or want to become volunteers.
Two days of free training will take place at The Storehouse on North Parade this month as part of the Lincolnshire Volunteer Card scheme.
Complete the two sessions and be rewarded with your card and a certificate.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, January 28 and 30 from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
The Lincolnshire Volunteer Card is a countywide programme, which provides free training to become a recognised Lincolnshire Volunteer.
“Everybody aged 16 and over is welcome to attend – no previous qualifications are needed to take part and the skills gained are relevant for paid jobs too,” said a spokesperson.
“Six subject areas essential to volunteering will be covered: customer care, good practice standards, equality and diversity, health and safety, safeguarding and confidentiality and team working.
“The programme is endorsed by Lincolnshire County Council, the Lincolnshire Health and Well-being Fund and Involving Lincs (a consortium of voluntary sector support organisations),” they added.
