Free travel for unemployed job seekers with CallConnect

People facing the new year without a job are being offered a seasonal boost by bus operators all over the country, including Lincolnshire’s CallConnect service.

As part of an initiative organised by the national Greener Journeys campaign, people looking for work will be able to travel free of charge on any CallConnect bus anywhere in the county, throughout the whole of January.

Anita Ruffle, Public Transport Strategy and Development Manager said: “We know that travelling around huge, rural Lincolnshire can often bring challenges, which is why we have been running the hugely successful, on-demand CallConnect service for the past 11 years.

“We’re going to start 2013 off by joining the national campaign, helping the unemployed with free journeys – it may even take you to an interview anywhere in the county and help you land that job!

“Anyone who has been out of work for between three months and a year will qualify for the trips. All they need to do is present their Jobcentre Plus travel card.”

For more details about how you can book your journey with CallConnect, contact the CallConnect team on 0845 234 3344; visit www.lincsinterconnect.com; or text CallConnect to 82727.
