A charity fishing day helped to net a bumper catch of cash for two good causes.

A total of £2,700 was raised for Skegness Hospital Watch and Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance from events held at The Elms Caravan Park in Addlethorpe.

Both organisations were presented with donations for £1,350 following the fundraising event.

A hog roast was held along with the fishing competitions to raise the cash.

Donations were received by Skegness Mayor George Saxon, on behalf of the air ambulance, and Hospital Watch chairman Eddie Gasson. Cash raised for Hospital Watch will help fund the purchase of a heart monitor.
