Fire crew and Skegness Pier staff are busy dealing with the wreckage left by last night’s storm surge flooding.

The Pier Super Bowl Venue adjoined to Skegness Pier is currently been pumped by a fire crew as well as the low-lying Laser Quest venue.

The Skegness Pier is another Skegness sea front business counting the cost and extent of the unusally high tides of last night and to a lesser extent this morning; seeing some nearby sea front kiosks decimated by the surge of the sea water.

Scott Robertson, of Skegness Pier Super Bowl said: “At the minute we’re still pumping out.

“All the staff and the fire crew are working hard to get the place back up and running as soon as possible. We don’t know the full extent of the damage at present until all the water is cleared”.
