Elderly people across Lincolnshire have been targeted by a man asking for petrol money.
Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information about the man, thought to be in his late 30s or early 40s and described as smartly dressed, with tanned skin, a thin face and short dark hair.
His latest victim, an elderly man, was stopped on the side of the road near Bourne, ‘escorted’ to retrieve funds from his home for petrol and then handed a watch in return.
“Please report any suspicious sightings or occurrences so we are able to locate this individual as soon as possible before he is able to continue his actions,” said a police spokesperson.
“Please ensure that any relatives or neighbours are aware of this individual and his actions,” they added.
