A new corporate strategy setting out the aims and ambitions of East Lindsey District Council for the coming years was published this week.
The strategy, focuses on local priorities, including the economy, health, jobs, supporting vulnerable people and affordable homes.
Leader of the council Doreen Stephenson said: “In recent years the council has made some significant changes to the way it operates in order to protect and improve frontline services whilst at the same time making considerable savings to balance the books in the face of significant Government funding reductions. “The council has had many successes to be proud of and this strategy builds on that success and sets clear aspirations for the future in terms of where the council will invest the resources it has available. There is no getting away from the fact that the next few years will be tough but this is a strategy that is positive for the community and will make a real difference to the lives of local people.”
