People living in East Lindsey now have until January 20 to express their views on the various services provided by the district council after its consultation deadline was extended to allow more local people to have their say.
The district council is currently in the process of developing its new corporate strategy, which will identify the priorities for the council from April, and wants to hear the views of as many local people as possible through its online consultation.
From those who respond, one resident will be chosen at random to win a hamper of Lincolnshire Produce.
Leader of the council, Cllr Doreen Stephenson, said: “In developing the new corporate strategy it is important the council understands the needs and views of residents and the council would like to encourage local people to take the time to respond to the consultation, which will help to shape the future of the district.
“To ensure we give people the opportunity to respond we have extended the consultation until January 20.
“Like families and businesses, council finances are being put under enormous pressure due to significant funding reductions and we’ve already had to make some tough choices and take some difficult decisions.
“The consultation responses will help the Council to identify the priorities of local people and where they want to see the council focus the resources it does have available.”
The consultation can be found at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/consultation and will close on January 20 at 5pm.
