The decision on plans for a nine-turbine wind farm in Orby has been delayed.
The controversial proposal for has been rumbling on for more than a decade and has been subject of an inquiry from HM Planning Inspectorate.
A result was expected this summer.
However, this week it has been confirmed the wait for an answer will be longer.
A spokesman for East Lindsey District Council said : “Due to additional information being submitted regarding noise issues, the Orby windfarm inquiry has been adjourned until late September when it will reconvene.
“Following the close of the inquiry, the inspector will make a recommendation to the Secretary of State who will make the final decision.”
