Dance competition fun is Strictly for hospice charity

FANS of hit BBC television show Strictly Come Dancing now have their chance to have a go for real and raise money for the Standard’s charity of the year, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.

Couples are being urged to sign up for weekly lessons in salsa and waltz, culminating in a Strictly Ballroom final at Louth Town Hall on Saturday, March 31.

Experienced teacher Gail Brocklesby will teach you all the moves you need to impress the audience at the grand finale.

Community fundraiser for St Barnabas, Amy Reeve, said: “The feedback we’ve had so far has been very good, and we have some great couples taking part.

“Everyone is enjoying being involved and we’re very excited about the final.”

Maybe you can be crowned St Barnabas Strictly Ballroom Champion of 2012.

All you have to do is be able to raise a minimum £50 sponsorship for St Barnabas and be able to sell five or more tickets to the final. Tickets are priced at £10. Lessons take place at the Dance Garage, on Louth’s Fairfield Industrial Estate, every Monday from 9pm until 10pm. To find out more or sign up call Amy on 07515 171927.
