Council launches website to help community groups apply for grant funding
A NEW website from Lincolnshire County Council has been set up to help community groups find much-needed sources of funding.
The Lincolnshire Funding Portal is a free resource for community and voluntary groups, parish and town councils, religious organisations, registered charities, social enterprises and youth groups.
Coun Sue Woolley said, “The new website will really help local groups wishing to find sources of funding.
“Sometimes even a relatively small amount can cover a group’s running costs and help them continue their vital work.
“Or they may need funding for new equipment, improving premises, holding an event, or a whole host of other requirements.
“The website’s information and different sections are clearly laid out, and users can search through hundreds of different sources of funding and grant schemes.
“These include government funding, National Lottery, charitable trusts and many more. They’ll be able to find funds that match what they’re looking for, and are appropriate for their type of organisation.”
The site holds up-to-date details about grant schemes and new developments, plus sources of support, useful events, the latest guidance notes and application forms, and contact details for funders.
