Could strange lights be a UFO above Skegness?

Wednesday, 3pm: METEOR showers, Chinese lanterns, the ultra-secret TR3B aircraft or something of extra-terrestrial nature?

Residents from Winthorpe are the latest to report unexplained bright lights over Lincolnshire's coastline.

And if the source is alien, apparently we aren't the only species mesmerised by bashing little balls about with sticks.

Resident Sharon O'Brien, who lives opposite the Dunes pub, said she and two other friends had witnessed 'golden glows' over North Shore Golf Course last Thursday eve.

Lincolnshire Coastguard sector manager Samantha Jessop reported similar sightings and put it down to meteors.
