Controlled burning session spreads during strong wind in Burgh Le Marsh
Strong winds caused controlled burning to spread and set alight 60 plastic and wooden palettes and 75 per cent of a HGV lorry trailer, this afternoon in Burgh Le Marsh.
Crews attended from Skegness, Wainfleet and Spilsby to the fire at The Common, at 12.11pm and used two hose reel jets and one main jet to extinguish the blaze.
Fire and rescue crews put out the fire at 3.08pm with strong winds during controlled burning said to be the cause.
