Yesterday, Chief Insp Jim Tyner tweeted “Officers faced this last night. @SkegnessPolice working hard to keep us all #SummerSafe”

He said: “It is unusual to have two knife-related incidents in such a short space of time.

“Most people living, working or holidaying in Skegness would have been unaffected by these incidents.

“But they do illustrate the risks my officers face in keeping our community safe.”
