Chimney fire at house in Alford
Firefighters from Alford were called yesterday afternoon to a chimney fire in the town.
The alarm was raised at 1.41pm on Friday and the crew attended the property on West Street to put out the flames using specialist chimney gear, according to a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.
The cause of the fire was said to have been a build up of soot.
