AN evening of entertainment and fun was held at a bar in Chapel St Leonards last Friday to help raise money for a worthy charity.

Kind staff at Bar Wick-Ed chose to raise money for local cause The Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary in Huttoft.

Even a donkey came down to enjoy all the fun with the fund raising revellers where photo opportunities were available.

There was also a charity raffle, entertainment from the mascots, Lenny the lion and Nelly the elephant, for the children, singing and dancing and lots more on the night.

The bar has recently undergone new management and another charity night held previously, managed to raise £300.

“We just thought it would be something nice to do for that charity as it is so important to both area and it needs all the support it can get,” said a spokesperson from the bar.

All the money from the night is still being collected in and funds will be going to the sanctuary shortly.

There was also collection boxes around the bar and chances for people to adopt a donkey on the night.
