A cyclist who only began riding back in November is set to take on a 104 mile trek to Lincoln and back in aid of a local dog rescue charity.
James ‘Jimmy’ Hardy will tackle a Coast to Castle route on Saturday, September 7, starting from Skegness and heading out to the iconic castle in Lincoln and back - a round trip of 104.45 miles.
He will be raising money for Keith’s Rescue Dogs.
He only began cycling last year when local cycle shop Derrick Cycles suggested he joined the MLCCC - “Mid Life Crisis Cycle Club.”
The club is for all level of fitness and ability and Jimmy rides with them on a Tuesday, Thursday and sometimes Sunday.
“I try to achieve 100 miles a week and when the opportunity for this ride came along I felt it would be a good challenge for me” said Jimmy.
“In April, we re-homed a Rescue Dog from Keith and realised just what he does and I thought I would like to help raise funds in any way I could,” he explained.
