Under a new partnership to be launched in the resort tomorrow (Thursday), the current Skegness and District Chamber will become part of a network offering a more powerful voice with local and national governments.

Tony Tye, chairman of the new Skegness and District Area Chamber, said: “Skegness and District Chamber of Commerce is joining the Lincolnshire Chamber to bring the benefits of a larger Chamber to the businesses of Skegness.

“This move will bring us into a network of Lincolnshire Chambers, where together we will have a more powerful voice with local and national governments.

“The challenges facing business are many and complex and in some cases quite specialised to the coast. We need friends and allies throughout Lincolnshire to stand with us and us with them.”

Simon Beardsley, chief executive of Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “As a Chamber, we excel in business support for organisations of all shapes and sizes. And we’re looking forward to bringing more benefits and opportunities to Skegness & District Area Chamber Members.”

The new partnership will be officially launched at the Skegness & District Area Chamber Business Breakfast at the Storehouse Conference Centre in North Parade, Skegness, tomorrow (Thursday) at 8am.

Skegness and District Area Chamber meet at the Crown Hotel at 7.30pm on the second Monday of each month.
