Challenge cup bye for Skegness Town FC

Skegness Town have been gifted a bye into the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.

The Lilywhites will travel to Lincoln-based Ruston Sports in the last eight of the competition on February 28.

The Supplementary Cup will be run on a group basis this season.

Success for the seasiders in their group against Horncastle Town and Nettleham will book them a quarter-final tie next March at home to CGB Humbertherm, Sleaford Town Reserves or Skegness United.

There are 12 teams in the Sills and Betteridge Lincolnshire League this season with Market Rasen Town, Wyberton and Louth Town Reserves returning to the fold.

Boston United Reserves, Lincoln United Reserves, Gainsborough Town and Heckington United have resigned from the league.
