Cause of Skegness house fire is '˜under investigation'

The cause of a house fire in Skegness is under investigation, after crews tackled the blaze late last night (Friday).

Fire crews from Skegness and Wainfleet attended the fire in Everingtons Lane shortly before 11pm last night.

Nobody was in the property at the time, but the blaze caused extensive damage to the lounge, bedrooms and staircase.

The fire crews tackled the incident with four breathing apparatus (BA), two hose reels, and positive pressure ventilate (PPV) was used.

The cause remains under investigation at time of publication.

Meanwhile, at 5.30am today (Saturday), a crew from Skegness was called out to a fire at a takeaway in Roman Bank.

Fire damage was caused to waste cooking oil which spread to a uPVC door. The crew put the fire out with one hose reel.
