Susan Ann West, 54, who was manager of the Byron House care home in Drummond Road, denied committing fraud by withdrawing funds totalling £23,850 from the bank account of a resident, described in court as ‘disabled and vulnerable’, between November 1, 2012, and October 27, 2015, intending to make a gain for herself.

Ms West, of Firbeck Avenue, Skegness, is also charged with stealing the same amount of money from the same man.

The prosecution sad that in their view the case was not suitable for summary trial.

Skegness magistrates agreed and Ms West was sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on May 10. She was allowed conditional bail.
