MOTORCYCLISTS are encouraged to join the fourth annual charity ride from Holyhead to Skegness.

The overnight ‘Sunset to Sunrise’ ride will begin on June 23, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Fund-raising group Bikers 4 Macmillan are behind the big event. Members organise trips and rides throughout the year, many in aid of the cancer charity.

The ride departs from Southstack car park in Holyhead at 9.30pm and, avoiding motorways, travels to Skegness to arrive at 4.15am, just as the sun rises.

Organiser Sarah Birch said: “Last year’s tour was a great success with 36 riders completing the 256 miles and raising over £5,000.

“I just wish that we can better that this year.”

The route is fully marshalled with fuel and refreshment stops along the way.

Participants are asked to pre-register (£10 for riders, £15 for a rider and pillion passenger) through: www.bikers4macmillan.org.uk/overnightride.aspx

All funds raised go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
