Annual trade show opens for business

Today (Wednesday) marks the start of the 33rd annual Caterex show, which this year takes place at Richmond Holiday Centre, in Skegness.

The show, which runs over today and tomorrow (Thursday) wis a trade only event and claims to be a must in business calendars, offering a one stop shop for anyone with a business in catering and hospitality.

Organisers say ‘there is nothing else like it in the area and it really gives a boost to Skegness at this time of year’.

Chairman of Skegness East Coast & Wolds Hospitality Association (SECWHA) Bill Hutchinson, said: “There is a new team organising the event this year.

“They are passionate about CATEREX and are bursting with ideas. They have even more exciting changes planned for 2017 for both exhibitors and visitors. We look forward to welcoming visitors both old and new.”

Business Development Manager June Howard added: “Caterex 2016 will have a slightly different feel to it this year.

“There are new exhibitors and we have introduced a new on- line ticketing system. There is something for everyone.

“In addition to a great variety of food and drink, we have furniture, catering equipment, hygiene products, advice on training, legislation etc. and lots more besides.

“There are some excellent show specials available too so why not come along and grab yourself a bargain.”
