Alford Manor House’s grounds are set to be buzzing with activity and entertainment for all the family this weekend.
The Alford Craft Market’s traditional August Bank Holiday weekend festivities are set to run from Saturday, August 24 to Monday, August 26 inclusive.
Everything from contemporary and traditional craft stalls and original artists to live music, street theatre and children’s entertainment are lined-up for the three-day event.
There will also be a whole host of craft workshops and lashings of food and drink.
“Our biggest event of the year is coming up fast,” said a spokesperson.
“The big August Bank Holiday three-day Arts and Crafts Festival in the Alford Manor House grounds will be bigger than ever this year, with lots of stalls from our craftsmen, both old and new.
“There will also be great music to listen to in the comfort of the Manor House Marquee every afternoon, as well as performances from The Earthbound Misfits, The Dog Eared Collective, Statue Knight, Andy Carando, Banjo Bob, Alford Morris Men and our own Punch and Judy man, Robert Rae.
“ There will be artists demonstrating and teaching in glass, wood and clay, as well as Gibraltar Point’s new workshop about the important subject of bee conservation.
“The full programme of this year’s event has been possible due to generous financial help from Alford Town Council,” they added.
