£400 boost for Hogsthorpe group

THE Hogsthorpe Allotmentiers have been given a £400 boost after two Chapel St Leonards councillors awarded them £200 apiece in the latest round of community grants.

Coun Hazel Newcombe and Coun Phil Leivers awarded the Allotmentiers the cash to help provide water retaining equipment which will help the group support a greener way of living.

The money was awarded through the Councillor Community Grant scheme.
