Energetic staff at New Look, Skegness, were busy raising money for a local hospice at the weekend.
Over Saturday and Sunday, staff members at the clothing store took to a cross trainer, situated in the middle of the store, to raise funds by donations and sponsors for the company’s annual regional charity, The Butterfly Hospice, in Boston.
The hospice provides palliative and end of life care to people who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.
Staff at the store challenged themselves to walk 26 miles, the approximate mileage from Skegness to the hospice, and managed to achieve this over the two days - with staff taking it in turns whilst also running the store.
As a region, the company looks to raise £10,000 annually for each charity.
After raising around £30 over the weekend, the Skegness store will look to make the return journey of 26 miles and continue to raise funds in various ways in the coming months.
A sponsored dog walk is also being planned for April, as well as cake bakes and raffle prizes.
