‘I support petition against slaughter’
EDITOR - I would like to write in support of the letter published in your newspaper last week regarding the slaughterhouse in Skegness.
I have lived here a very short time and I have not really had much to do with what’s going on in Skegness but I for one would like to show my utmost support for what that lady had to say.
I remember when I was a young man animals were always killed in the old fashioned way and I still remember the terrible noise coming from the yard where the animals were slaughtered.
I am surprised and saddened to learn that this is still going on and I would have thought these days there would be no need for it.
Well done to all the people involved in fighting this type of thing. I signed a petition in the vets. I hope they win!
