LETTER: Hope our police chiefs are heard

Have your say

It was concerning to read the stark warning to the Home Secretary regarding the future of our police force.

The Chief Constable Neil Rhodes, Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick and chairman of the Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel Norman Norris have all come together with their concerns.

Theresa May has been told by Mr Rhodes that he has ‘grave concerns’ about the future of policing if more budget cuts are to come.

Isn’t it about time our police force was left alone to get on with the job at hand?

I don’t want to see any more officers taken off our streets - in fact, I think we should have funding for more.

All we can hope is that the voices of senior figures in Lincolnshire Police are heard in London.
