A NUMBER of cash allocations have been made to groups and organisations in the area through the East Lindsey District council’s Councillors’ Community Initiative Scheme.

Coun John Upsall gave £250 to the Friskney Show to help towards advertising costs.

Coun Phil Leivers and Coun Hazel Newcombe have given £250 to Chapel Parish Council as a donation towards the Beach Management Project.

This funding will provide towards the provision of general signage and signage for the control of dogs which are banned on the beach for a 500 metre stretch.

The beach was once the responsibility of East Lindsey District Council and the role has now be passed on to the parish council to which new signage is set to be put in place.

Coun Ken Milner has also allocated £400 to The Meadows Residents Association as funding towards a day trip to Pleasure Island for low income families.
