A CHARITABLE club in Skegness has raised a staggering £2,200 over the last six months for an important charity.

The Skegness Liberal Club in Lumley Road, held a fundraising night to help collect even more cash, which they donated to the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance charity.

John Turner, was invited to attend a meeting at the club the following week where he accepted the cheque on behalf of the charity.

Geoffrey Gregg, Chairman, said: “It was a really good evening. We have entertain which is provided free and we auction items off. All the money raised from these nights goes to charity. We are also open to suggestions for charities to support in the future. If anyone is interested please send a letter to the club.”

Last year, the club fundraised for the RNLI and the Children’s Home in Skegness and this year, they intend to raise money over the next year for the Skegness Hospital and Alive and Kicking, a charity for adults with disabilities.
