PUPILS from a school cookery club got into the Italian spirit and worked with a restaurant chef to create their very own pizzas.
The Skegness Junior School year four club, went down to Little Frankies restaurant near the Hildreds for an afternoon.
They were taught all about making pizzas with the chef, the ingredients and how to prepare the delicious dish.
Mrs Lisa Sims, who part organised the trip, said: “It was absolutely amazing. It was a really good afternoon and the pupils got to learn about cooking in a different environment.
“Little Frankies were brilliant, everything was laid out for the children, including hats, aprons and activity packs and then the children could put the toppings on the pizzas they liked.”
The pupils were then able to go through to the kitchen with the chef and put the pizzas in to cook.
“The children were then lucky enough to get the chance to eat them!” added Mrs Sims.
Staff at Little Frankies also brought out their mascot to amuse the children and the pupil’s chef hats were also decorated as part of the fun during the day.
The cookery club is run jointly run by Mrs Sims, Mrs Lisa Flay and Mrs Christine Thornley.
Speaking of what the cookery club have to come, Mrs Sims added: “We’re hoping to do something with chocolate.”
