A WAINFLEET woman has battled against adversity and been selected to work with a top modelling agency.
Jalé Antor, who runs a health and beauty centre in Wainfleet, entered her details and photographs in an online competition and she was delighted to be recently told she’d been selected to represent Lincolnshire.
“I’ve been signed up in a three year contract and I couldn’t believe it when I found out. I’ve done some modelling before but this is a really good opportunity for me,” said Jalé.
However, despite Jalé’s striking Turkish and Irish looks, people have not always been kind to her as she was bullied in her younger years.
“Because I was a bit different, I think that’s why people bullied me. It does knock your confidence and this modelling contract just gives me that little pick-me-up,” she added.
Now the budding model and beautician will enjoy a three year contract with an agency which will include bridal shoots, catalogue, lifestyle and other opportunities.
And Jale’s mother is also delighted and very excited that her daughter has been given this wonderful opportunity.
“I’m very proud of my daughter, she is very beautiful and has done really well. I wish her all the best and will support her all the way,” said Sylvia Antor, who lives in Burgh.
Jalé has been working and living in Wainfleet for the last seven years and the business has been open for the last three, offering facials, waxing, manicures, hairdressing and more.
“I think working in the hair and beauty industry you are always aware of looks and this shows those people how well I’ve done and there’s many different types of beautiful women out there, it’s a really exciting time,” added Jalé.
The hair and beauty salon is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm, or for enquiries call 01754 881110.
