Hundreds flocked to the Magdalen School field in Wainfleet at the weekend for the phoenix-like resurrection of a popular fixture in the local calendar.
The Wainfleet Summer Show, which took place on the same weekend as the traditional Wainfleet Weekend a number of years ago, drew between 400 to 500 people on Saturday.
The day featured everything from live music, to Highland dancing, and from vintage vehicles to cabaret.
“We’ve been having excellent feedback - there’s been no negative feedback and we hope to make it an annual event from now on,” said Pete Cobley, the chair of the Wainfleet Events Promotion group, which organised the festivities.
“We’re very pleased what with this being the first event in some time.
“More people are wanting to get involved in organising events in Wainfleet.
“We would like to thank the people who gave their time to support the day.”
