THE RNLI in Skegness is over £300 better off thanks to the generosity of customers and staff at the Hildreds Shopping Centre.
Every year people throw money into the centre’s Christmas displays, which are produced by the centre’s deputy manager Steve Andrews.
This year the displays helped to raise £337.60.
And centre manager Peter Roffe made the short journey to the RNLI shed in Skegness on Friday to hand over a cheque for that amount to coxswain John Irvin.
“The RNLI, and in particular the Skegness Lifeboat, is a very important charity that the Hildreds Centre has always supported and I am thrilled that the visitors and people of Skegness have been so generous once again,” said Steve Andrews. “A huge thank you must go out to them because without their help we would not be able to make donations such as this.”
