A RECOVERING heart patient gave a boost to a local cardiac group last week when he set up a fundraising raffle.

John Thompson held the charity event in Garden City, Winthorpe on Friday evening.

A whole host of prizes were up for grabs, including a brand-new fitted double-glazed door from Reflections Windows in Spilsby.

Almost £525 was raised from the raffle on the night. All proceeds will go to East Lindsey Heart Support Group and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
