A Skegness opticians is to host a one-mile walk in aid of Diabetes UK on Sunday.
The team at Specsavers will be raising awareness and funds for diabetes, which currently affects more than 3.9 million people across the UK.
Staff from Specsavers in Skegness are inviting the local community to join them on a charity walk in order to raise vital funds for the UK’s leading diabetes charity.
As a further 11.5 million people in the UK are at increased risk of getting Type 2 diabetes, the team at Specsavers are keen to support those who suffer from the lifelong condition.
Kate Johnson, store director at Specsavers in Skegness, said: “Diabetes is a cause close to the hearts of all the team here at Skegness.
“I’m really looking forward to raising awareness and funds for such a well-deserving charity.
“I hope to see the community come together to support us by joining in and digging deep to see a great total winging its way to Diabetes UK.”
