Local vets in festive food plea

A LOCAL vets has made a passionate plea to residents not to forget our furry friends this festive season.

The Fenwold Veterinary Practice, which has branches in Skegness and Spilsby, will be running its annual ‘Give a Stray a Christmas Dinner’ appeal again this year.

The local veterinary practice has run the heart-warming appeal for over 15 years, as part of a national push by the British Veterinary Association.

“Members of the public are asked to donate items of dog or cat food, which is used by local charities to feed stray animals and animals awaiting re-homing over the Christmas period,” said a spokesperson.

“Donations will be collected at all Fenwold branches - Skegness, Spilsby and Mablethorpe.

“The campaign has been very successful in previous years and we hope to continue the success this year,” they added.
