Old photographs, memorabilia and fond memories of Skegness Hospital are being sought to help with next year’s centenary celebration.

Hospital staff would like to hear from historians and members of the public to help create a nostalgic display, commemorating the hospital’s 100 years of service to the town.

Matron Jackie Shaw said: “Next year is a very special year for Skegness Hospital and we want to make sure it’s one to remember.

“We have a small number of photographs and other items dating back over the decades but we would like to build on that to create displays throughout the hospital to show how it has changed over the years.”

“We would also like to hear from patients past and present about their memories of the hospital.”

The hospital’s 100th anniversary is on May 19, 2013, exactly a century from when the Countess of Scarborough officially launched the facility.
