A health trust has released a statement to advise the community that it is currently experiencing high demand for beds and services at a county hospital.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust said demand was high for beds and services at Lincoln County Hospital as of Monday. It is asking members of the public to help during busy times and only use A&E if absolutely necessary.
With the continued support of its staff, it has taken actions to meet the demand for services. Additional ward rounds ensure people who are well enough to go home are discharged efficiently which frees up beds for other patients.
The hospital is liaising with GPs to ensure that patients not requiring hospital care are not referred during this busy time.
