Councillor calling for support to save service
MORE people in the community need to sign up to a local NHS service or a council fears it could be merged into a larger service.
Coun Steve Kirk is urging individuals and groups to support the Lincolnshire Community Health Service part of the NHS Trust or it could become part of a bigger trust not based in the immediate area.
“It is free to do and doesn’t take a lot of time, we need as many people to sign up or we may not have this service which currently works to support the Skegness Hospital among other things,” said Coun Kirk.
The LCHS provides community health care to over 700,000 people across the country. Becoming a member shows support from the area. Individuals also have an opportunity to play a vital role in making sure the trust continues to achieve high standard. For details go to www.lincolnshirecommunityhealthservices.nhs.uk.
