COULD you offer just a little of your time to help visually impaired people?
Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society has launched a new befriending service across the East and West Lindsey areas.
They now urgently need volunteers to help them implement it.
A Friend in Sight has been made possible thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
Volunteers visit clients in their own homes, or via the society’s telephone befriending service.
They provide companionship, help with practical tasks and hobbies or other interests.
Without the help of new volunteers the Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society could not continue the work they do.
They are looking for people who could offer just an hour per week, or even a fortnight or month.
