A CHARITABLE residential care home in Skegness has raised hundreds for a worthy cause which has helped so many of its residents.

Dedicated residents and staff at the Sutton Court Care Home collected all the money during the year, by holding an on-site lottery fund-raiser.

Everyone was able to buy tickets for £1. Half went towards Macmillan and the other 50p went into a prize-winning pot.

“It’s a fantastic way to raise money for Macmillan as they have helped so many of our residents at Sutton Court. It is a good way that we can support them and I know it brings the whole community here together by taking part,” said Kevin Shelley, house manager at Sutton Court.

Around £2,000 has been raised by the care home in the previous two years and Macmillan will again be the charity of choice for the next round of funding.
