He said they knocked on the door of the flats and went in with ‘one of those rames which knock the front door in’.

He said: “They smashed the door through and next minute there was police cars and CSI there.”

He said the guests at the front of his guest house had been kept awake until about 2am due to the lights of the police cars.

He added that there was no disruption to Drummond Road and that businesses down there had not been affected - but the other tenants of the property affected had been asked to stay away while investigations had been ongoing.

Lincolnshire Police have so far described the death of the body found at the property as ‘unexplained’.

Officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit and Lincolnshire Police are working together in the area.

Chief Inspector Jim Tyner from Skegness Police said “At the moment we are treating this death as unexplained and are in the very early stages of our investigation.

“Local residents may experience some disruption this morning while a forensic examination takes place.

“Officers will be on patrol in the area. Please speak with my officers if you have any concerns or if you have any information which may help our enquiries.”
