GALLERY: Skegness RNLI Lifeboat crew train out at sea and head back to shore

Here is the conclusion of a two-part picture gallery special of the Skegness lifeboat crew on a training exercise.

Look out for our exclusive feature review in the newspaper version of the Skegness and Spilsby Standard in the coming weeks, when Skegness and Spilsby Standard reporter Lee Croft joined the crew to give readers his personal insight into what it was like joining the crew on one of their fortnightly training exercises.

The practice-run took place for approximately two hours, before the lifeboat returned to shore at around 7.30pm.

After this, the lifeboat was cleaned down and checked for a further two hours by the land and sea crews.

The gallery includes pictures of inside the lifeboat and some of the equipment used, the engine room and sick bay and photographs documenting the operation which takes the boat back to the lifeboat Station.
