Friskney WI enjoys talk about the ‘Colours of Bangladesh’

THE July meeting of Friskney WI welcomed this month’s special guest speaker, Angela Tubb. whose talk was on the ‘Colours of Bangladesh’.

The colours referred to saris, and she had brought a beautiful selection for the group to see, and for some members to try on.

Angela had lived in Bangladesh for a number of years, and gave an interesting insight into her life there.

This month’s raffle was won by Sally Hall and the competition for a Model Bird was won by Pam Middleton, with Helen Martley and Margaret Rushworth as runners-up.

The flower of the month competition was won by Maureen Holmes, with Jane Holmes and Ann Kirk in second and third places.

The August meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 7.30pm in Friskney Village Hall.

The speaker will be Priscilla Middleton, who will give a talk on ‘Chinese Watercolours’. Visitors are very welcome.
